Did you know that BLSD has been family owned and operated since its inception in 2015? Bryan and Bregan Brown (and now Master Elijah Brown) run a tight dive boat around here so that they can bring you the very best in diving instruction.

Bryan and Bregan met in 2011 on the banks of the Sabine River. Bregan was a research assistant with The University of Tyler at Texas and working with freshwater mussels on September 11 at the Sabine Mine. Bryan was a safety diver that day. You know what they say about a guy in a wetsuit...

With encouragement from her awesome boyfriend, Bregan completed her Open Water SCUBA Diver certificate in 2012 and began diving as part of her research. She went on to marry that boyfriend and complete her Master SCUBA Diver in 2014. Meanwhile, plans were in the works to develop a training business in Longview, Texas, but to do that they needed an instructor. With encouragement from his awesome dive buddy and wife, Bryan completed his Instructor certification and hit the ground running in 2015. By 2017, Bryan had achieved his Master Instructor Certification and Bregan her Assistant Instructor. Along with the standard PADI roll, they now offer elite courses like Public Safety Diver and Zombie Apocalypse Diver.
